# How to Make It:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, followed by the milk, then the remaining dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly among mini muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well. Add milk and vanilla extract, then beat until fluffy.
- Divide frosting into small bowls and tint with gel food coloring as desired for clock faces and accents.
- Once cooled, frost each mini cake with a smooth layer of colored buttercream.
- Use decorating gel, chocolate chips, or colored frosting to draw clock faces, numbers, and clock hands set to midnight. Adorn with edible pearls and sprinkles.
- Arrange decorated mini cakes on a platter and serve.
