# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It comes together in under an hour and tastes like you spent way more time on it than you actually did.
  • The everything bagel seasoning does all the heavy lifting flavor-wise, so you don't need to second-guess your seasonings.
  • Cold pasta salads are the ultimate make-ahead dish, meaning less stress when guests arrive or lunchtime rolls around.
02 -
  • Rinsing the pasta under cold water is not optional if you want a salad instead of a starchy clump; warm pasta will keep cooking slightly and absorb too much dressing.
  • The dressing needs time to meld with the pasta, so resist the urge to serve it immediately, as the flavors are dull compared to how they taste after sitting for even 30 minutes.
03 -
  • Toast a pinch of everything bagel seasoning in a dry pan for 30 seconds right before garnishing if you want to wake up the flavors and make them even more pronounced.
  • Make sure your dressing is fully whisked and smooth before adding it to the pasta, because lumpy mayo dressing will frustrate you and compromise the texture of every bite.
